A correctional services officer is among two men who have been ordered to stand trial on corruption charges in South Australia.
Officer Luke Walter Burns, 39, and 54-year-old Shane Andrew Tainton separately faced Adelaide Magistrates Court yesterday.
Burns, of Huntfield Heights, pleaded not guilty to seven counts of using information to secure benefit as a public officer.
The offences - which have not been detailed - allegedly took place between July 2018 and May 2019 at Edwardstown.
Prosecution and defence lawyers both asked that Burns enter his pleas at a later date, but Magistrate Simon Smart refused the request.
The court heard the Director of Public Prosecutions had sought a 48-hour delay to review the case and there was a possibility the charges would be changed.
Tainton, of Flagstaff Hill, pleaded not guilty to one count of aiding Burns to secure a benefit in May 2019.
Magistrate Smart ordered that both men stand trial.
He continued their bail ahead of a District Court appearance in November.
