What Happened To Otis On Chicago Fire?
Brian Zvonecek was a firefighter with the Chicago Fire Department in the show Chicago Fire. He goes by the name Otis on the show and the character is played by Yuri Sardarov. He drove Truck 81 and he was stationed at Firehouse 51. He was one of Molly’s co-owners. Otis was killed in the line of duty after he succumbed to injuries that he sustained at a mattress factory.

How Did Otis Die On Chicago Fire?
Otis died in season eight of Chicago Fire. Yuri tweeted about it and said, “A fond farewell to Otis, he’ll forever be my friend. And to all of you that knew him and loved him to the end, he had a bushy mustache and a soul patch to boot. It’s never really over, he’ll always love you too.” He has since appeared in different shows including Adam and he also revealed that he was planning on moving to LA to pursue comedy.

Yuri Sardarov is an American actor and producer best known for playing Otis in the show Chicago Fire. He was on the show until season eight. The actor is half-Georgian and half-Armenian. His grandfather’s name was also Yuri so he started spelling his name with a y. He has a brother named Nick who is eleven years younger than Yuri. he graduated from Glenbrook North High School near Chicago.

Chicago Fire Otis Death Episode
Otis passed away in the opening episode of season eight. He is caught in the boiler explosion and is unable to get out. He manages to get a distress call out and is reduced by his teammates. He is rushed to the hospital but he succumbs to his injuries there. Before he passes away he tells his best friend and roommate Joe Cruz, “Brother, I will be with you, always." He spoke in Russian and it was almost three months before Joe understood what he said.
