Delonte Maurice West is a retired American professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association with the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks (NBA). He also played major league with the Fujian Xunxing and Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association and Texas Legends of the NBA G League. Before becoming pro, West played collegiate basketball at Saint Joseph's University.

Delonte West, a former NBA player, claims he's well and isn't done with the league after a viral video of him panhandling on the side of the road in Virginia surfaced last week. West, the Celtics' 24th overall choice in the 2004 NBA Draft, has publicly struggled with mental health issues, drug addiction, and bipolar illness.
