Ghanaians seeking various classes of Visas to visit the United States of America will have to schedule an appointment in September 2025 after the full booking of all other available dates, MyNewsGh.com can confirm.
Applicants for U.S. visas are required to appear in person for a visa interview at the Embassy in Accra and are required to schedule an appointment for the interview, either online or through the call center.
Since the advent of Covid-19 from at least May 2020, the US has heavily restricted entry to the country with limited dates and few slots leading to long queues at the Embassy.
Following the filling up of the interview dates, the latest available dates for applicants are September 2025 and counting down.
The U.S. Embassy in Accra is therefore offering limited non-immigrant and immigrant visa services.
Ghanaian visa applicants facing challenges are advised to apply through other West African US Embassies if the dates in Accra are too far.
